About Us

Environment

Chikushi Jogakuen Senior and Junior High Schools are located in Kego, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, close to Tenjin, the city center. We are surrounded by such cultural and historical places of interest as the Fukuoka Municipal Zoo and Botanical Garden, the Fukuoka City Art Museum, Ohori Park, Maizuru Park, and the ruins of Fukuoka Castle. In the west of the city is a modern area called Momochihama with the Fukuoka City Library and Museum. We have such an excellent educational environment.

Extra-curricular Activities

Our students enjoy both athletic and cultural activities and develop their new potentials. Through extra-curricular activities, they grow as human beings as well. Our Senior High School boasts of a variety of clubs, including the Track and Field Club, whose members have won the championship in the "National Inter-High School Relay" and many other prizes, the Swimming Club, the Handball Club, the Broadcasting Club and others.

Facilities

The campus boasts of outstanding facilities, such as "Shion Hall," the Student Hall built in commemoration of the 90th anniversary of Chikushi Jogakuen. Other facilities include the auditorium, the gymnasium, and the audio-visual classroom. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. We also have a tea house called "Senshin An" (meaning a house for purifying the heart), which is considered the oldest tea house in Fukuoka. It helps our students enjoy their school life while experiencing traditional Japanese culture.
